Anderson Street, Tully, named after a Shire resident who served in the Armed Forces. The name was selected from a number of names put forward by the Tully RSL Sub-Branch in 1965

Banyan Esplanade is the esplanade area on Banyan Creek in the north-eastern section of Tully

Bicton Hill, Bingil Bay. 'Bicton' was the name of the Cutten's (early settlers of Bingil Bay) house which was named after Bicton Hills, Devonshire, UK

Boyett Road was named after Ted Boyett who owned a beach front property at Mission Beach from the late 1930s. He later built a house, general store, post office and a dance hall. In 1951 Frank & Marion Rick bought the business from Ted. He then went farming on a small property on the road named after him. In the 1950s-60s it was only bush a track. The only way you could travel on them during a big wet season was to have chains fitted to the wheels of cars.

Bryant Lane, Tully, is a laneway leading off Watkins Street

Cardstone, 60 kilometres north-west of Tully on the Tully River, is a contraction of the name of the two shires, Cardwell and Johnstone, that initiated the early development of the Tully Falls Hydro-Electricity scheme.

Henry Road, Tully, is a subdivisional rural road leading off the Davidson Road at Riversdale and providing access for canefarms.

Kareeya (Big Water) is the name of the hydro-power station on the Tully River at Cardstone

Kennedy Esplanade, named after Edmund Kennedy, leader of the Expedition in 1848

Lindsay Road, named after the Lindsay Family, farmers on West Hull River

Mission Beach - Named after the establishment of the Hull River Aboriginal Settlement in that area in 1914.

Mission Drive Named by Cardwell Shire Council after the Hull River Aboriginal Mission

Mullins Road, Tully, is a rural road running westward from the Jarra Creek/Syndicate Road and across the Jarra Creek Bridge.

Ohl Road named after a retired Dutch Army Colonel Ohl who resided on the road for many years. His son-in-law, Robert Harten, farmed there for many years as well. Owen Stanley Street, named after Commander of the boat which accompanied the Kennedy Expedition to Rockingham Bay for the start of their historic journey.

Pandanus Road, named after Pandanus Palm, tropical palmlike tree with aerial roots that support the stem

Pollard Street, Tully, named after a Shire resident who served in the Armed Forces. The name was selected from a number of names put forward by the Tully RSL Sub-Branch in 1965

Porter Lane, Tully, between Cook Street and Edward Street, named after Jack Porter, a veteran of World Wars I and II. Postman in Tully for about 17 years during 1950s and 60s, and used laneway during his mail round. Porter family is well known in Tully district, and members have been settled in the area for more than 80 years.

Pratt Street, Tully, named after a Shire resident who served in the Armed Forces. The name was selected from a number of names put forward by the Tully RSL Sub-Branch in 1965

Rick Road named after Frank Rick who owned the farm at the end of the road. The Rick family farmed on that property from February 1951 until 1995.

Riversdale Upper/Murray Road is a rural road running southwards from the Davidson Road at Riversdale School to the Murray River.

Scanlan Road, Tully, is a rural subdivisional road opened by Patane & Son through Portion 257, Rockingham, running parallel to and east of the Jarra Creek/Syndicate Road.

South Mission Beach Road Named by Cardwell Shire Council after the Hull River Aboriginal Mission, which was established in 1914 in the area.

Wall Street, named after T. Wall, a naturalist and member of the Kennedy Expedition
